"To Be" A Drop Of Rain

The day we had been waiting for. A downpour of refreshment for the soil. The dry smoky heat passing through our lungs and frying the crops have been harsh. The fires in Western Canada has been devastating for the lives of people and ecosystems within the forest. We have been craving for the wet rain to wash away the flames and be soaked up by the roots. I admire the symbolism of nature to our own lives. Situations can seem so dire that we lose sense of hope. The idea of a rainbow or a clear mind seems unreachable. This too shall pass. At this moment there are fires still blazing and crops wilting; my heart melts to this news. Yet, it warms by the droplets of rain yesterday that cleared up for blue sky. To witness the mountains (snow covered that is) clear as day again is a breath of hope for us! Living in the smoke has brought upon gratitude for a sunny day to never be taken for granted. It is a refreshing start and hopeful beginning. The smell and sound of rain is comforting and soothing. The puddles and darkened pavement that remain for a while has been a temporary sense of relief. A physical reminder that a storm has come and gone. Like the thoughts in our mind or a moment of discomfort. It doesn't last for long just remember. The bright sun will return in our view - it is always there. Just like love! It is the strongest feeling and experience. Isn't that why they say connections and healthy relationships extend our lifespan? The sun, the stars, your people are your life and joy. When the sky is covered and your mind is cluttered there is extra effort required to change your perspective to think positive. With one lighthearted thought or some laughter over the phone. Because...
this too shall pass.
from my heart to yours,
Love your day.
