"To Be" Changing Seasons

The heat of this sun has been glorious. My favourite month of the year, May. It is a time for change and new beginnings! The trees grow leaves and the ice on rivers melt into fast and full streams. Not only does the cold weather fade but so does the homework load (oooh - oooh!) No such thing as free time for me though, I fill it up like I would a chilled slushy on a hawt day! I work more, I plan trips, and challenge myself to achieve new goals and intentions throughout the summer. This year, immma be doing a practicum, completing my last school expedition and starting my yoga teacher training!

My heart really wants to set up my hammock and read often - that is the plan! If this interests you lets start a hammock reading club.

I am very grateful for the seasons for they teach us many lessons:

1. To accept change. We do not have control over the weather so we have to adjust to mother nature's sometimes crazy mood swings.

2. To look forward to change. We can plan and have hope for something new in our lives

3. To let go. In the fall we are often reminded to shed things that no longer serve us like how the trees lose their leaves in autumn.

4. To begin again. The spring resembles time for growth and positivity

5. To get grounded. The winters encourage us to slow down and connect with others for comfort and warmth. The end of the year also brings about reflection during the holidays.

6. To be prepared. Those who live in environments with the same temperatures get accustomed to those conditions and wear the same things. We get 4 different wardrobes - how fun! ...how expensive :) (sarcasm implied)

Spring tho! I love May because it starts to rain; plants grow, it smells amazing, and I get to whip out my rubber boots. That reminds me to invest in some new ones. It is amazing to observe how much the weather influences people's moods. I have already noticed many others walking and biking around the city since the sun has been out for the past few days! For how much I love the sun sometimes I wonder why I do not live next to the ocean! BUT... the winter is truly beautiful and I have fallen in love with cross country skiing. Maybe I'll move to an island one day and live there in my 20's, find a tropical man, and open up a turtle & shark sanctuary (not together of course because all the sharks would eat the turtles for lunch). Anyways, we will see where I end up after school.

The most profound feeling I have during the beginning of spring is thinking about the experiences I look forward to having soon,

Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking, Biking.

ooo and yoga outside.

This blog is very random aha. Mostly typing my thoughts as I dip my naan bread in tzatziki.

I LOVE SPRING

I LOVE NAAN

One thing I do not like in the spring:

WORMS. Yes they are valuable decomposers but they are nasty looking. They have so much responsibility and importance to our planet but I cannot touch them. Maybe I am scared from having boys in middle school chase me down with them, but even then, I truly struggle when I am watering plants are walking near puddles. This could be a deeper issue but maybe i'll try petting them?

Okay so I have to head to work but I will update you in the near future! Lotsa thoughts in this chicka's brain.

Big take-aways for my readers:
